Key partnerships to support delivery of the SPMS include those with other Conventions, civil society, the private sector and regional bodies. CMS and some of its daughter agreements have established formal partnership arrangements with a wide range of actors, most typically in the form of Memorandums of Cooperation or Partnership Agreements and their associated joint work programmes. The Convention and its instruments actively promote and guide collaboration and synergies through dedicated resolutions on synergies and partnerships or specific provisions within tools such as species action plans and programmes of work.
Under this functional heading the Companion Volume aims to reflect the key partnerships available throughout the CMS Family in support of the SPMS implementation.
