CMS COP11 Resolution 11.4 “Restructuring of the Scientific Council” established a Sessional Committee to be made up of a representative selection of the members of the Scientific Council. In accordance with the mandate given by COP11, the Standing Committee operationalized the Sessional Committee by selecting its membership for the triennium 2015-2017.
The First Meeting of the Sessional Committee of the Scientific Council (ScC-SC1) will be held from 18 to 21 April 2016 at the UNEP/CMS Secretariat premises, Platz der Vereinten Nationen 1, 53113 Bonn, Germany. It is expected to be mainly a planning meeting, during which the Sessional Committee will discuss and agree its work plan for the remaining part of the triennium, including any input to COP12.
