The location on the map is approximate!
Description:

This side event was held during the 13th CMS Conference of the Parties (CMS COP13) in Gandhinagar, India on 19 February 2020. The Saker Falcon Global Action Plan (SakerGAP) was established in 2014 and is being implemented over a 10-year period (2015 – 2024). This side event described the key actions in the SakerGAP and discussed  conservation measures, sustainable use, socio-economic issues and priority actions for the future. One of the key issues highlighted was the electrocution of Saker Falcons by power lines across their range and how to reduce this impact. Practical examples of SakerGAP implementation were shared by Janusz Sielicki (International Association for Falconry and Conservation of Birds of Prey).
